Stephen W. Neal

Chairman of the Board
Stephen W. Neal is President/CEO of K. Neal International Trucks, Inc. and K. Neal Idealease, Inc. He has owned both companies for six years. K. Neal International Trucks, Inc. is a full–service commercial truck dealership representing the International, Hino, Mitsubishi Fuso, IC Bus, Cummins and Caterpillar truck, truck engine and bus brands. The dealership offers new and previously owned sales, service, collision service and parts for the commercial trucks and buses sold under those brands. K. Neal Idealease, Inc. provides full-service lease, rental and contract maintenance on commercial trucks to clients in many industries. The dealership, headquartered in Hyattsville, MD, has four locations in Maryland and Virginia and employs 95 associates.
K. Neal International Trucks, Inc. is a strategic partner with the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation, Workforce Services Division. Together, the dealership and the County created an ‘on-the-job diesel mechanic training program’ for at-risk county residents. Participants in the program come from diverse backgrounds, and have demonstrated a willingness to learn new skills to enhance their careers. The program affords the trainees an opportunity to change their lives and improve their quality of life while earning livable wages and benefits.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Neal spent 28 years at Giant Foods before retiring in 2004 as Executive Vice President of Store Operations and Sales. Under his leadership, Giant set records for market share and profit contribution margin, as well as many non-financial goals.
He is a recipient of the 2008 Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award, and in 2009 was selected as one of the Top 500 Diversity-Owned Businesses in the U.S. Out of 650,000 Businesses surveyed, he was named one of “25 CEOs You Need to Know”. He is Chairman of the Board of SHABACH! Ministries of First Baptist Church of Glenarden, a member of the Board of Visitors, Bowie State University, and a board member of George Mason University, to name a few. Additionally, he has been recognized by many distinguished national industry and not-for-profit organizations.
Mr. Neal is a graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. He is a Maryland resident and has been a resident of Prince George’s County for over 40 years. He currently resides in Bowie, MD.

Cynthia J. Terry

President and CEO
Cynthia J. Terry is the President and CEO of SHABACH! Ministries, Inc. (SMI), a nonprofit organization based in Landover, Maryland. Established in 1996 as the community outreach arm of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG), SHABACH! is dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through impactful programs and services.
​
Under Cynthia’s leadership, SHABACH! Ministries continues to expand its impact across the region. In the past year alone, the organization served more than 168,000 families, distributing over a quarter of a million bags of food to those in need. This critical work is made possible through strong partnerships with organizations such as Wegmans, Giant, Starbucks, other Fortune 500 companies, and a network of dedicated local community partners. In addition to food distribution, SHABACH! works to empower unemployed and underserved individuals through workforce development initiatives, including the monthly podcast "Career Connections," which provides career guidance, professional insights, and pathways to opportunity.

Affectionately known as CJ, Cynthia is a certified facilitator and trainer with more than 20 years of experience. She has led leadership development, diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and Mental Health First Aid trainings for major corporations, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses. Her dedication to professional leadership and service is reflected in her active involvement throughout the community.

Cynthia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications from Old Dominion University. She has also completed executive certificates from Harvard University in Nonprofit Advancement and Cornell University in Equal Employment Opportunity Studies. Her professional certifications include Mental Health First Aid, CliftonStrengths, Dale Carnegie Training, the Center for Creative Leadership Executive Leadership Program, and the Society for Human Resource Management in cooperation with The Catholic University of America. Most recently, she earned a Certificate in Preaching from Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary.

A respected leader in the region, Cynthia serves on several boards, including the Prince George’s County Board of Social Services.
​
In addition to her leadership at SHABACH!, Cynthia faithfully serves at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden under the pastoral leadership of Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr. She is also the author of “Lie Down in Peace and Sleep: First Responders Edition”, and repeatedly blesses local responders with the devotional.

Cynthia and her husband, Edwin Terry, reside in Prince George’s County, Maryland. They are the proud parents of a beautiful daughter and son-in-law, and the joyful grandparents of three wonderful grandchildren. For more than 15 years, their home and hearts have been blessed with Cynthia’s two great-nephews, whom they lovingly helped raise.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of a nonprofit. Individuals who sit on the board are responsible for overseeing the organization's activities. Board members meet periodically to discuss and vote on the affairs of the organization. SHABACH!
